The Intelligent battery pack of the handheld device is perfectly matched with the POS machine, and the protection of the lithium ion battery embodies a reasonable, efficient and safe battery management solution. In the design process of the whole scheme, in order to ensure the safety and reliability of the lithium ion battery, multiple protections are adopted inside the battery pack to avoid the hazards of overcharge, overdischarge or short circuit.

Protective board (PCM): The protective circuit of the intelligent lithium-ion battery pack. Due to the chemical characteristics of lithium-ion batteries, it is necessary to have intelligent capacity calculation, overcharge, overdischarge, short circuit, overcurrent, overtemperature and other protection functions to avoid the occurrence of combustion and explosion.

Japan protection IC: The IC has the main protection function in the design. The chip can monitor the battery’s overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, short circuit and other functions at any time to make the battery work in a safe, stable and efficient environment.

Japan MOSFET: As a switch in the protection circuit, to ensure that the voltage at both ends does not fluctuate up and down, so that the voltage is stable.

What is room to swell of lipoly battery?
Lipoly Battery will have a sligh swell in the charging. So it will affects your mechanical design? The answeri we gave is that you do not have this worry about these.
Because all lipoly battery we produced have reasonable tolerances:
Thickness tolerances is ± 0.3mm,
length is ± 1.0mm,
width is ± 0.5mm.

What’s more, the swell usually only affects the thickness of the battery, and it is within our tolerances. It means that thickness tolerances is ± 0.3mm (Maximum tolerances is ± 0.5mm), that is swell range.
